We’re excited to have Abigail Boyd and Penny Hackett joining our line-up of speakers and panellists at next month’s Secularism Australia Conference.
Abigail is a strong advocate of secularism in the New South Wales parliament, as a representative of The Greens in the upper house – the Legislative Council.
Penny, as the president of Dying with Dignity New South Wales, played a crucial role in successfully advocating for the introduction of voluntary assisted dying laws in the state.
We’re looking forward to hearing from both as they share valuable insights from their experiences at the coalface of politics and pushing for secular reform in New South Wales.
We’re also looking forward to meeting you at the conference on Saturday 2nd of December.
There are tickets still available for the event. If you haven’t secured yours yet, or if you would like to purchase more for some friends, buy your tickets now!
And don’t forget to add your name to our petition on the Australian Parliament House website, calling for daily prayers to be replaced with something more appropriate and reflective of modern, diverse Australia.
The petition has so far gained almost 3,000 signatures!
Help us get more before the closing date – 15th of November.
Thanks for your support!
